Gayle Miller
Gayle Miller most recently held the position of President of Anne Klein II, a leading designer sportswear manufacturing company in the United States. Gayle began her career with Anne Klein & Co. in 1973, while residing in Los Angeles. As Vice-President of Marketing for Western States, she supervised the highest volume-producing region in the U. S. and was instrumental in the launch of Anne Klein II in 1983. After serving as Corporate Vice-President of Marketing (nationwide), Gayle moved to New York in 1987 to take over the Presidency of Anne Klein II and ultimately led that company to a highly successful and profitable 150 million dollar business.
Before joining Anne Klein & Co., Gayle spent many years in different phases of the retail and wholesale fashion business. Her experience ranges from the bridal and couture markets as a Buyer to Head of Sales and Marketing for dress and sportswear manufacturers on both East and West Coasts. It was as a consultant to several Los Angeles firms that she was approached by Anne Klein's husband to oversee their expanding businesses.
Since retiring she has devoted her time to serving on several for profit and non-profit organizations and serving as VP of Program Development for a non-profit foundation formed by her and two others for the purpose of developing and implementing programs for inner-city children and parents. Over the past four years they have developed a values-based curriculum teaching responsibility, respect, trust, honesty, etc., that has been successfully used as an "After School Program" in public and private schools and included into the daily schedule of courses taught in many other schools in the Los Angeles area. They have also held four summer programs in East Los Angeles held four days a week for parents and children to come together to learn sports, creative arts, character building values and community resources. She also often speaks to businesswomen's groups and outreach programs.
She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Go Along Side Foundation, Trinity Forum, Media Fellowship International, the Los Angeles County Alliance for Student Achievement, and Families In Schools.
