5th Annual Cash for College – College and Career Convention, Oct. 26th and 27th

The BHLC participated in the 5th annual Cash for College - College and Career Convention, which took place on Oct. 26th and 27th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The convention was free and open to the public as thousands of local middle and high school students along with parents were in attendance.
The Cash for College Convention included professional financial aid presentations; college life workshops; and over 100 college exhibitors.  The Convention is a comprehensive college resource for students and their families and with the dedication and support of several partners, the goal was to provide students and their families with the opportunity to expand access to higher education.

The Cash for College Convention was a real team effort and the success of it depended upon the partners involved, the several financial aid professionals, high school educators, and the many dedicated volunteers that helped make this convention a reality for countless students and families across Los Angeles County. The BHLC clearly recognizes the importance in helping at-promise students with attending and financing a college education and for that reason, BHLC staff members were more than willing to dedicate their time in assisting with the event.
