ELL Tools for Parents: First Street Elementary School – Session 1 Location: Auditorium Targeting parents of English Language Learners at First Street and Breed Street elementary schools, BHLC’s “ELL Tools for Parents” equips parents with the leadership, advocacy and informational tools needed to help parents work with teachers to ensure students efficiently reclassify into mainstream education. Lesson 1: Introduction to the Reclassification Process This session 2-hour workshop gives parents an orientation of the terms and concepts used to describe the reclassification process of English Learners. The session also gives parents a general understanding 5 levels of English language development, and how students progress through the reclassification process. Childcare provided. |
