SOS - "Open Call" at First Street Elementary

On Friday, September 29, SOS student and teacher leadership hosted an "Open Call" for all parents and children who wanted to learn more about the SOS program and parent's role in supporting their child to becoming a strong SOS student both in the school and in their home and community.

As parents came equipped numerous questions, the ten-plus SOS leaders worked with teachers Jeff Jumisko and Amy Owen to provide parents and students with an overview of SOS, the responsibilities and benefits of the program, and general information on the application process.

This event was also supported by Janis Hiura and Vickie Ramos of the BHLC.
